justt not for me.
Chad from LOS LUNAS, NM on 5/3/2025
I was looking for some full range floorstanding speakers. powering with a marantz cinema 70s in preamp mode running through a rotel amp. i previously bought the F1's, but wanted a little bi more bottom end and "bigger" sound. These are larger, but the bottom end still didnt give me what i was looking for, and the mids/highs seemed better in the F1. Returned these and am continuing my search.

What a good buy
Gary from Jefferson City, MO on 4/22/2025
Couldn't be happier with the speakers, packaging, price and 2 day delivery. The sound is clear and balanced. I can't imagine that the more expensive models sound better. They embarrased my other name brand speakers.
Pros: Sound, looks, price.
Cons: None.

MartinLOgan F2
Alan from Alpharetta, GA on 4/21/2025
The last "really good" speakers I had were Bose 901 IV, early '80's. My MartinLOgan F2's are a cut above! I like the horn-like tweeter and the crossover is on the money.
Pros: Great sound without the weight of Klipsch Quintets, also smoother
Cons: Do I need this much sound in my living room?

Great Speakers
Jose from Cidra, PR on 4/18/2025
These replace a pair of infinitys 363s that gave me over a decade of good sound. When first tried them these ML were great. But after a few hours of listening, wow this F2s are impresive. Connected to my yamaha and turntable in pure direct mode are enough to have a sweet, great, clear and balanced sound that fills my medium size room, at not even half volume. Absolutely no need for a sub, these have plenty of balanced bass, just maybe for movies. Just be aware that are pretty big. What an upgrade, couldn't be happier. And of course the Crutchfield staff and service which is excellent!!

The speakers have incredible sound, warm bass, and high and clear trebles. The sound quality is fantastic for the price; you must pay up to $ 5k to duplicate the sound.
Pros: Sound quality and price

Huge upgrade for me!
Chris from Charlevoix, MI on 4/2/2025
I upgraded to these from the Klipsch rp-8000f. I liked the clarity of the Klipsch but was experiencing some fatigue on long listening sessions. These MartinLogans are a tremendous upgrade. The tweeter is crystal clear, mids are very present, and the bass is actually crisper and a little more present. Noticeable upgrade in all areas. I am a huge fan of MartinLogan now. And the team at Crutchfield were amazing. Two day shipping. Speakers were boxed inside Crutchfield's box. Absolutely no damage. Could not be happier.
Pros: Tweeter is next level- especially in this price range. Bass is tighter and more present than my past speakers with 2 8" woofers. True 3-way sound at a great price point. Value is a 5+.
Cons: Honestly, none. I suppose someone in a higher price range might have some cons. I certainly do not.

A great step up!
Robert from Pueblo, CO on 3/27/2025
I did not want to give a review on these until the break in period finished, but I feel they have had enough time to tell me who they are. I am coming from a pair of Jbl northbirdge 80 towers and a Jbl Northbridge e35 center channel. These MartinLogan's are quite literally night and day different from the jbl's. The Jbl's are like a rowdy teenage full of noise and spunk just belligerent, and punch. The f2's are like a worldly 41 year old man fulll of life experience that just knows what needs to get done. The highs on these speakers are quite tame and not harsh, I can get through an extended listening period without experiencing fatigue, the lows are clear and the bass will hit you from behind. They handle a variety of music with ease. I paired the f2's with the MartinLogan c1 center channel and there is no doubt where dialogue comes through, silky smooth. When I am feeling froggy and want to make my Denon avr s770h hurt, I'll run these in 5.1 for music and the sound stage is absolutely wonderful. For movies they are awesome and I can't wait to pair them with the MartinLogan b1, for now I'll stick with my current rears. Totally worth the price I paid for these and I have had no buyers remorse. Shout out to Randy with Crutchfield he was a huge help in finding me what I was looking for.
Pros: Great sound clarity and distinction, highs are not harsh. It checks all the boxes that make me happy
Cons: Not a con in anyway, but let these speakers settle give it a little time and these bad boys will loosen up and give you what you want.

obvious choice if looking for a cut above
Drew from Las Vegas, NV on 3/2/2025
If you're even considering these speakers, it is because you were looking for exceptional floor speakers that are on par in quality with floor speakers twice its cost. stop looking and purchase them now. These were the first real speakers I ever bought. I added them into my Sonos system. Obviously they are the star but wow, are they the star. ?? the only problem is that the Martin Logan AFX atmos speakers for atop the floor speakers, do not come in any color other than black. I check every week. Purchase these

Best speaker I've ever had!
Chuck from ATHENS, AL on 2/16/2025
I've ALWAYS been an audiophile. I can go back to when I reading audio reviews by Julian Hirsch in Stereo Review. I've had numerous stereo speakers over the years. Several different Polk Audio models, JBL Control Monitors, Bose Accustimass 7, to my previous Definitive Technology 9040s. After long listening sessions it became obvious to me that my current audio system lacked that age-old term, accuracy. Enter the MartinLogans.. I'm using a NAD C-3050 integrated amplifier and a Yamaha S-303 CD player with the MartinLogans as my audio equipment. Most of what I listen to can be blanketed by the term "classic rock." The MartinLogan Foundation F2s soar when playing tracks such as Black Sabbath "War Pigs." The bass and drums from YES "Roundabout" is simply electrifying! Yet the accurate reproduction of Herb Alpert's Tijuana Brass CD "Whipped Cream and Other Delights" and Sergio Mendes & Brazil '66 sound as if they are playing in front of you. From reading other reviews I knew these MartinLogans would be excellent audio/video floor-standing speakers. Rest assured you may now have the complete confidence that the MartinLoan Foundation F2 speakers are EXCELLENT audiophile sound speakers. Well done MartinLogan!
Pros: accurate sound reproduction of various music genres.

Best Speakers I have ever Owned !
Mark from Bismarck, AR on 12/20/2024
I have had Klipsch speakers for about 20 years now. I went to a neighbor's house, and he had some Martin Logans, so I listened to them. I was so impressed with the clarity of the high end that I bought the Foundation F2 speakers. After I got them and hooked them up to my 200-Watt Tube Amp I was so impressed that I ordered a complete 7.2 system of Logans for my Theater room, and I am passing all my Klipsch speakers down to my son. I told him if he wants Martin Logans, he has to buy them himself.

Home Run from Martin Logan
Robert from Sarasota, FL on 11/30/2024
Incredible, that's one word I would use to describe the F2's. I was debating upgrading my 30+ year old Def Tech BP 10's to something newer but I still liked the BP 10's. With Crutchfield's return policy I felt safe trying the F2's while they were on sale. I am astounded at the improvement in the sound stage, bass response and upper frequencies. Even at low volumes the bass comes through and when I turn up the volume the speakers respond effortlessly. I realize they have to go through a 'break in period', but even out of the box they are awesome, just what I was looking for. Crutchfield's packaging was superb, using heavy cardboard boxes enclosing the actual Martin Logan boxes, nothing short of a forklift tine could cause damage. My only problem now is what to do with the BP 10's...
Pros: Lively sound Great bass Full soundstage Detailed mids and highs
Cons: Wife does not like the gold ring around the individual speakers on the wood grain model.

Great speakers at a great price
Michael from NEW CITY, NY on 11/24/2024
Sound great out of box even with no warmup. Have the on myOnkyo 8270 to my turntable and streaming and are great. Have my "audiophile" setup upstairs but in my getaway I use these and enjoy immensely. Actually, like them almost as much as my B&w 803.Crutchfield delivery was prompt. Also no need for subwoofer, bass is unreal. Highly recommend.
Pros: Easy setup if you follow directions. Good bass Look great

Stop Denying Yourself the Most Important Component!
T Charles from Hamden, CT on 11/21/2024
Why oh why did I wait so long to buy really great tower speakers like these?? I love music more than puppies and yet I deprived myself for 60 years. Get these now. All of your music is wearing an overcoat and the Martin Logans dispense with that and invite you inside the note and inside the room where the recording was made. Everything sounds more present and dimensonal. If you are like me, bass has always been a bear to hear as a melodic accompaniment as much as a component of the rhythm, but the incredible musicality and harmony in a classic like anything Paul McCartney did with the Beatles is newly revealed to me and it's been 57 years. Oh well...
Pros: Everything
Cons: Vinyl skin can be damaged, but it "looks like" wood.

Great Speakers
Richard from Solana Beach, CA on 11/20/2024
I received MartinLogan Motion Foundation F2 speakers as an exchange for JBL 680 speakers. The JBLs were a two way speaker and lacked any midrange output. The MartenLogan F2 are a true three way speaker and the sound is fantastic. The tweeter, the mid range and the bass speakers all perform to a wide sound stage.

Massive Upgrade
Mike from Indiana on 4/17/2024
My 25 year old speakers were starting to disintegrate, so I picked these up. Love the demo aspect on Crutchfield, as I was able to compare several models in my price range, from brands I wasn't super familiar with. Then had my wife listen and pick their favorite, we both agreed on these. Fantastic highs, but the mids and the bass are both solid and balanced.

As far as the sound and quality, these speakers are awesome. Upon opening one of them, I found damage on the top rear corner. Crutchfield offered to replace it, but I feel like it would be too much of a pain to package it back up for return

Thomas from Albuquerque, NM on 12/11/2023
Clear mids, crispy high's, and punchy bass. It will make a pleasant sound stage when turned up to high levels on pure direct. As long as the music date is HD or Ultra HD the sound is superb, low distortion at higher volumes. RTF on speaker cabinet, I use the same material on kitchen cabinets in a the refacing aspect of my company. Durable plastic wood print laminate. Will scratch leaving a white mark behind, use product you would use on your car dash for luster. Clean with a soft cloth and dish soap. Will be using in a listing/ theater room I'm throwing together. Had some Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-8000F II and these are what I traded in for an upgrade for. Still love the sound the Klipsch provides just felt this was a more in-depth experience.

Michael from Jupiter on 10/27/2023
Great speakers. I've been using bowers and wilkins 683s - purchased as floor models 20 years ago for $500 a piece. I never thought I'd find anything similarly priced to match them. I also wanted something more modern and nicer looking. These speakers fit the bill. They sound fantastic - clear vocals and solid deep base. I'd say the overall sound is equal to my tried and true 683s. And they are beautiful looking.
Pros: Great looking. Excellent sound. I like that the grilles only cover the drivers not the entire front of the speaker.
Cons: Honestly I don't absolutely love the gold trim around the drivers - I think black would look better. And I wish the grilles were magnetic not clip on.
