Features

Wireless Sub Receiver/Transmitter Combo Pack: Although correct placement plays a key role in optimizing subwoofer performance, sometimes it imposes the inconvenience of running long lengths of cable through walls, along baseboards, or under floors and carpets. To solve the problem, MartinLogan designed the SWT-2 Receiver/Transmitter Combo Pack which allows you to place your subwoofer in the exact location where it will deliver the best bass without the cable clutter.

Compatibility: The MartinLogan SWT-2 wireless receiver/transmitter combo can be added to any AV receiver with an LFE/RCA output and any powered subwoofer with LFE/RCA input. The SWT-2 Receiver/Transmitter Combo Pack only supports wireless transmission to one powered subwoofer.

Note: You cannot connect additional wireless receivers or transmitter to this system.

Uncompressed Audio Signal: MartinLogan engineers designed the SWT-2 with an uncompressed 16-bit/48-kHz sampling rate (exceeding the current CD standard of 16-bit/44.1-kHz), which proved more than adequate for use in the wireless transmission of low-frequency information below 200 Hz. And since the RF transmission is digital it is error-checked to ensure no deviation from the original signal.

2.4GHz Frequency Range: The SWT-2 operates in the 2.4GHz frequency range. Often, users of wireless technology complain about interference from other noise sources in the room (i.e. wireless local area networks, portable phones on the same frequency, even microwave ovens). MartinLogan engineers included an integrated RF power amplifier that provides a 15 dBm RF power level to reduce interference. Stray RF interference is also reduced through use of Adaptive FHSS operation.

40' Range: In a typical room situation, the SWT-2 receiver/transmitter combo has a maximum unobstructed operating range of 40' (12.5m) depending on placement of course. If desired, its compact dimensions allow it to fit neatly into an audio/video rack.

RCA Connectors: Both the wireless transmitter and wireless receiver are fitted with stereo RCA jacks. The wireless transmitter plugs into the sub or LFE output of your home receiver or active soundbar speaker via stereo RCA (cable not included). The wireless receiver plugs into the sub or LFE input on your powered subwoofer via stereo RCA (cable not included).

AC Power Adapters: The SWT-2's receiver and transmitter include an AC power adapter which will need to be plugged into an AC wall outlet.

Do you lose subwoofer volume level with this wireless unit versus using a cable input on a subwoofer? Once I disconnected my second subwoofer from a cable and moved it to a different location using a different manufacturers wireless unit. However, the second subwoofer volume dropped to half of what it was so my main subwoofer which was wired became the only subwoofer I could really hear.

Hi Jim: To keep things clear, these units are meant for use with POWERED SUBS. I have had mine in the same room for about 2 years now with no sound loss issues. I get occasional artifacts in my sub (bleeps and bumps) which im sure are caused by my setup, my receiver is inside a cabinet which is densely housing several other pieces of electronics. I was able to do the room adjustment on my receiver successfully as well. At some point i did try another vendor's product, it didnt go well. You mention in your experience that you moved your SUB to another "location". I can only think the volume dropped because it was moved out of range, into an area with some interference or something is blocking the signal.

Hey No. Full power! no noticeable Lag. I used a cheap wireless trigger and I could never get it to work. This trigger works great. Get it, you'll like it.

these are radio signal units, so no line of sight is needed. however do not put them behind much electronic equipment to prevent interference.

Good question.. I set mine up completely out of sight of each other and it works great. The sender is behind a glass panel and the speaker is behind a chair. I didnt try putting it inside a cabinet though...

Mine is the line of sight. But I believe the components can be hidden behind cabinets etc and still work as long it is not Metal Cabinets to interfere with the transmitted signals.

The transmitter and receiver do NOT have to be in line of sight to function properly. The transmitter can be placed in a cabinet and still function without delay

One of ours is inside the cabinet and the other i velcrowed to the back of the sub. Paired it once and they are not in line of sight. Works like a charm, a bit pricy but worth not having to have it hard wired.

Line of site is not needed. For ours, the transmitter is inside a cherry cabinet, th receiver is behind the subwoofer; which is about 15' away. Works great!

I used a high quality, standard audio cable and it works great. This is an audio signal that you are transmitting, so you want to use something reasonably high quality, but it doesn't have to be over the top.

these have 2 inputs and 2 outputs. in concept you should be able to connect two powered subs.

I'm not sure, but think you would be able to double the available subwoofer connections by connecting RCA "Y" connectors onto both RCA outputs on the receiving wireless module that essentially would double the available subwoofer connections. I'm sure Crutchfield or a local electronics store carries the RCA "Y" adapter. Good luck.
