4-Driver Array: The Monitor Audio WSS130 in-wall loudspeaker features a 4-driver array with three 3" MMP II mid/bass drivers and one 1" C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter for a smooth and well-balanced sound that is suitable for home theater and music application.

• C-CAM Gold Dome Tweeter: The C-CAM Gold-Dome tweeter produces smooth high frequencies with detail and and a sense of realism. C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Aluminum/Magnesium) is ideal for speaker drivers since it is extremely rigid, yet light enough to yield high overall efficiency. In manufacture, aluminum/magnesium alloy undergoes a three-stage stress-relieving process to remove surface deformation and molecular weakness. Once formed, the alloy driver is subjected to a high temperature anodic coating process in which a layer of pure ceramic alumina is depleted onto its surfaces to a depth of 50 microns, producing a completely rigid sandwich of alloy and heat-dissipating ceramic material. Conventional drivers are liable to flex or twist in operation, producing a significant level of audible distortion. C-CAM drivers have a much higher resistance to bending stress and therefore exhibit much greater fidelity over their entire operating range.
• MMP II Woofers: MMP II (Metal Matrix Polymer) driver cones have a polypropylene base loaded with metallic particles to offer a rigid and responsive structure. They are manufactured using a sophisticated high-pressure injection process, which modulates cone thickness at critical points to optimize stiffness and consistency, resulting in a superior sonic performance.

"Trimless" Magnetic Grille: The WSS130 in-wall speaker features a steel-mesh grille that is held in place by high strength magnets covering the entire speaker for a true "trimless", stealth look. The grille protrudes only 0.125" from the wall. The grille is paintable to blend with the living environment; additional scrim material is provided for trouble free painting.

Gold-Plated Spring Post Terminals: The Monitor Audio WSS130 is outfitted with gold-plated spring post terminals for connection of bare speaker wire (up to 14AWG) and pin-connectors (the spring post terminals are too small to accommodate banana plugs). The spring post terminals are gold-plated for excellent audio signal transfer and resistance to corrosion.

Tri-Grip Fixing System: Monitor Audio's innovative Tri-Grip fixing system is easier to install than conventional clamping schemes and provides 3x the surface area and a better surface seal, maximizing bass response and midrange clarity. The Tri-Grip fixings are made from a tough re-enforced polymer, giving a secure installation. The WSS130 requires a rectangular cutout and can be mounted vertically or horizontally in 0.125" to 0.875" thick wall.
