About the Audio-Technica ATH-CM2000Ti

Audiophile-grade earbuds from serious headphone experts
Audiophile-grade earbuds from serious headphone experts
Audio-Technica makes some of the best-reviewed over-ear headphones we carry — both for pro studio use and reference listening. The ATH-CM2000Ti headphones fit that same level of performance into a portable in-ear design. These high-grade earbuds rest just inside your ear, rather than deep into the canal. Audio-Technica's large 15.4mm drivers deliver an oversized soundstage with precise imaging and rich, full-range detail.
Several ways to connect
The ATH-CM200Ti headphones include two cables, one with 4.4mm balanced headphone plug. Sony developed this new industry standard connection for balanced headphone operation, and I've seen more and more companies adopt it.
This connection promises to cut down on signal noise and distortion, and you'll find it on several Sony high-res music players, the Sony's TA-ZH1ES headphone amp, and the Sennheiser HDV 820 headphone amp. For a more traditional headphone connection, Audio-Technica includes another cable with an unbalanced 3.5mm mini plug.

Features
Overview: The Audio-Technica ATH-CM2000Ti in-ear headphones feature rigid pure titanium housing for an elegant look and to reduce unwanted resonance. Each pair of headphones has a laser-etched serial number. Each ear bud has specially-designed 15.4mm HD drivers that are capable of reproducing Hi-Res Audio with an extended frequency response. The headphones come two cables, a cleaning cloth, and a zippered leather carrying case.
Drivers: The ATH-CM2000Ti headphones are equipped with large 15.4mm drivers with a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating on the diaphragms and a permendur magnetic circuit to give you pure audio performance with an extended frequency response and virtually no distortion. The wide 10Hz-45kHz frequency range lets you hear more of the details of the music, especially Hi-Res audio from the newer 96kHz/24-bit music files and streaming services.
