Nighthawk WiFi 6 Add-On Satellite: The NETGEAR Nighthawk Tri-Band AX3600 WiFi 6 Add-On Satellite (MS80) lets you easily add 2,250 sq. ft. of powerful WiFi coverage to your existing Nighthawk WiFi 6 Mesh router (sold separately). The Nighthawk WiFi 6 satellite creates a dedicated WiFi connection with the convenience of a single WiFi name for your whole home or office. Using the latest WiFi 6 technology (802.11ax), the NETGEAR Nighthawk WiFi 6 Mesh system is also backwards compatible with WiFi 5 and earlier generation devices.

Processor & Antennas: The Nighthawk MS80 features a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and five internal high-performance antennas, ensuring smooth and stable streaming.

• Multi-User MIMO (MU-MIMO): Using Multi-User MIMO technology, the NETGEAR WiFi 6 satellite, when paired with a compatible Nighthawk WiFi 6 Mesh router, can stream data to multiple devices simultaneously. With MU-MIMO, your WiFi network can deliver faster throughput to every MU-MIMO connected device. That means faster downloads and smoother streaming for your devices.
• Beamforming: Beamforming boosts speed, reliability, and range of WiFi connections on 2.4 and 5GHz band. The result is a stronger, faster, more reliable connection that is locked in even when the device is moved around the home.
• Dynamic Quality of Service (QoS): QoS resolves internet traffic congestion when you have competing internet demands at home. QoS identifies your online activities by application and device, then utilizes bandwidth allocation and traffic prioritization techniques to automatically allocate more bandwidth to latency sensitive applications like online gaming and video streaming. This ensures that lower priority applications continue to work.
• Smart Connect: Smart Connect automatically selects the fastest WiFi band for your device. For Smart Connect to work, the 2.4GHz and both 5GHz bands must use the same WiFi network name (SSID) and network key (password). That means that when you connect to the router with WiFi, you see only one SSID that connects to both bands.
• OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access): The Nighthawk dual-band AX3600 uses uplink and downlink OFDMA to direct WiFi traffic much more efficiently, increasing network capacity even when multiple devices are connected to the network. Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) allows data transmission signals to be split into smaller signals which can then be sent directly to individual devices on your network. Because multiple devices can be served in the same transmission window, the router doesn't have to wait for medium access for every data packet. This method of communication increases network speed and efficiency.

WPS: The MS80 Satellite features a WPS button for "Push & Connect" connectivity to your compatible WiFi router.

Nighthawk App: The Nighthawk App for iOS and Android devices makes it easy and intuitive to setup and use the NETGEAR Nighthawk MS80 satellite, along with the rest of your MK83 wireless Mesh system. With the Nighthawk app, you can install your MS80 Satellite using very few steps - just connect your mobile device to the default network, and the app will walk you through the rest. The app also automatically updates the router to the latest firmware, allows you to personalize your WiFi network, and even help register your router with NETGEAR. The intuitive Nighthawk app dashboard lets you monitor your home network from most anywhere, check broadband speeds from your service provider, pause the internet to any connected device, track internet data usage, and setup separate networks for guests.

Mounting: The Nighthawk MS80 add-on satellite is designed to sit on a table-top or shelf and features rubberized anti-slip pads along the bottom of the unit.

Power: The MS80 is powered by the included AC power supply with attached 6' DC cord (12VDC/2.5A output).
