2.5-Way Driver Design: The Elac Vertex III Series IW-VJ63L-W in-wall loudspeaker employs a 2.5-way driver design featuring a JET Folded AMT tweeter and two 6" aluminum cone woofers, plus four 6" aluminum passive radiators for dynamic architectural sound.

• JET Folded AMT Tweeter: The JET Folded AMT (Air-Motion-Transformer) Tweeter offers lightning-fast response and wide dynamic range with minimal distortion and lots of headroom. A deep spheroid Waveguide is used to improve directivity control and efficiency.
• Crystal Membrane Aluminum Woofers + Passive Radiators: The three 6" custom-designed Crystal Membrane Aluminum Woofers are extremely rigid, yet light weight. This woofer design is specifically designed to keep up with the speed of the JET Tweeter while delivering detail in low frequency response. For bigger and even deeper bass response, the IW-VJ63L-W pairs the two 6" woofers with four 6" passive radiators that also consist of Crystal Membrane Aluminum cones.

Back Box & MDF Baffle: The Elac Vertex III Series IW-VJ63L-W uses a back box (sealed enclosure) and MDF (medium density fiberboard) baffle to maintain consistent sound in practically any wall. The back box (sealed enclosure) also helps with sound bleeding through to adjacent rooms.

Unique Crossover Design: The 2.5-way crossover network design crosses over the upper woofer right below the tweeter's output, while the lower woofer is crossed over at a lower frequency. This creates a dynamic mid-range, while still allowing the woofers to extend as deep as they can go for powerful bass. The result is a cohesive balanced output with a robust low end that can be both heard and felt.

Spring Post Terminals: The Elac Vertex III Series IW-VJ63L-W is outfitted with a set of spring post terminals that will accept bare wire (up to 14AWG), pin-connectors, and banana plugs (single or dual). For shorter distances up to 25', 16-gauge speaker wire will be sufficient. For longer distances, 14-gauge speaker wire is recommended.

Slim-Profile Magnetic Grille: The included slim-profile magnetic grille allows for the speaker to virtually disappear in the room. The metal mesh grille comes in a white finish, but can be painted to match your wall. The slim-profile grille protrudes from the wall approximately 0.1875".

Application & Mounting Options: The Elac Vertex III Series IW-VJ63L-W can be mounted vertically as a front or rear speaker in a home theater application, as well as mounted horizontally as a center-channel speaker in a home theater setup. It can also be used in stereo 2ch and distributed audio applications. It will require a rectangular cutout in the wall. Multiple "dog-leg" clamps secure the speaker in the cutout of your wall. Make sure to leave approximately 1.25" of clearance around the interior of the cutout to accommodate the "dog-leg" clamps. The "dog-leg" clamps are compatible with 0.125" to 1.75" thick walls.
