I just installed these Kenwood speakers in my 2022 Ram 2500 Bighorn reg cab. I have the uconnect 5 with 8.4 screen and the Alpine premium speakers so I have the center dash speaker which is the exact same as the corner dash speakers. If your doing what I did just replacing the speakers you do not have to touch any of the factory wiring, it's all plug in especially if you use the Metra adapters 72-7902 for dash speakers and 72-6515 for door speakers. The 3.5's fit perfect in the dash under the factory grilles just make sure you use the supplied crossovers or you will ruin your new speakers, they can't have low frequencies going to them. The Kenwoods are 4ohm speakers and your dash speakers are 8ohm so there may be a slight difference in volume levels. You can solder in 4ohm resisters on the + wire if it bothers you. My factory Alpine speakers did not have the ohms printed on the back so l checked them with a multi meter and they were 2.2 ohms including the door speakers which are just woofers. Since I have a reg cab my rear speakers are behind the seat in the cab corners which are 2 way speakers and your rear doors should have the same thing. I am going to replace them with kenwood excelon KFC-X694 2 way speakers eventually. Changing the dash speakers and the front door 6x9's woofers with this 4pc. set made a huge difference, it sounds great, and it sounded lousy before. Also the 6x9's fit perfectly in the doors, they don't hit the window regulator inside the door and the door panels go back on perfectly over them. Use the supplied foam that comes with the speakers and follow the kenwood supplied directions. I took the crossovers for the 3.5 dash speakers and soldered them to the Metra adapters, they plug into your factory wiring and the other end of the wires after the crossover already has the female spade connectors on them to connect to the new speakers. The factory dash wires run in parallel to the front door speakers. They get the full signal same as the door speakers do. What I did on mine is cut and solder the metra adapter crutchfiels included into the crossover input side then dropped the crossover into the dash followed by mounting the speaker.

I would say if your system has a factory amp I would bypass wiring to 3.5's and hook your xover to 6x9 wiring but if no factory amp use 3.5 wiring to connect cover. I am not expert so this is just my suggestion but with factory amp the 3.5 wiring has already been xovered internally through the amplifier.

You do not need the crossovers at all unless your using a after market amp, hook up to factory wiring and done.

Its probably your speaker hole size. Something about where the speakers mount is not right. And that's why it's saying won't work. It shouldnt have anything to do with your head unit.

Yes it will work but you might loose some volume because the factory speakers are 2 ohms so they get more power from the factory amp. I think you should be ok

My factory head unit works with them and i have had no problems.

Passive coils on 6x9, crossover inline on 3.5. I put them in my ram 3500, way better than factory Alpine.

3.5 inch speaker comes with inline crossover/impedance matching circuit. Look like a black brick. In my case in my Toyota Camry the dash speaker (3.5) and door speaker (6.5) are wired in parallel from factory. So if I want to use Factory wiring you need to use the inline box to make it look like 4 ohms to the stereo/amp. Is also a crossover.

It will work on 45w rms. I ran mine on a 45w and then a 65w and couldn't tell a difference.

It will work on 45 watts RMS but will perform better with 75 watts IMO.

I don't think this is what you are looking for, unless you have the matching head unit (Alpine iLX-650). This amp mounts to the back of that head unit and gets wired directly to it.

If your front door 6x9 are just midbass and the dashes are 3.5's they should drop in. As far as wiring, the dash and door speakers in my Challenger are wired together so they use 2 amp channels and the rear speakers use the other 2 channels. I just disconnected the rears, ran new wires to the dash and added a amp and amp replacement module from PAC. Some Dodge's have a 6 channel factory amp.

Yea pretty good. I would be more comfortable on that size amp vs blowing your factory head unit. I ran mine on and alpine 4ch 400w.

Ok so you are bridging the amp? You are going to use 1 channel to run 2 rear speakers?

I'm assuming you mean you're using 2 channels of your 4 channel amp already. So an example how to would be both of the left speakers hook up to the 1st channel and both rights hook up to the 2nd channel. Your rears on Ch 3 &4. You have to use the included crossovers to keep the impedance correct and because you don't have enough channels to use a biamp configuration. The 6x9s will need to be hooked up on the low pass lug to utilize the built in crossover. Again you're not biamp so you'll have to rely on the provided crossovers.

Second option. Wire the dash speakers in parallel with the front door speakers to the amplifier. The could create a 2 ohm load on the front right and left channels. However, the dash speakers may be too loud, taking away from the door speakers, especially in the rear doors.

Power the 3.5" dash speakers from the radio power only, not through the amplifier. From your 4 channel amp, connect the 6x9's in each door, one speaker per channel. Let the radio power the dash speakers, but do not forget to put the crossover inline, as low frequency will destroy them.

Im not positive that the new ram has the same configuration with the 6x9 in door and 3m5 in dash. If it does then yes. This is a great setup for dodge- using this component set in my daughters avenger along with replacing the rear 6x9 with the kenwood 7". Piece of cake install, kenwood provides more than enough direct fit brackets

I put them in 2014 1500 Ram with no problem at all. They sound great.

They fit perfect! I'm running a set in the front and a set in the back without the 3.5's. I have them running off a 400x4 JL Audi and they sound amazing.

They will fit. Crutchfield says they are too deep and the basket too wide to fit, but there are literally hundreds if not thousands of Rams, Chargers, and Challengers that have this setup installed with no problems.

Yes, they fit perfectly in both locations. I just installed them in my 2018 Ram. I must say, at first I was disappointed in the sound, but soon found out there is a break in period and they get much better! They have crystal clear highs, great bass and just sound awesome!! Huge improvement over stock!

I don't know about 2015. I have a 2018 and fit right int. I would assume that yours should be the same. Speakers also come with some spacers and adaptors, I didn't have to use any.

The instructions show how to bi-amp them. Assuming the RMS rating is for each (providing they're properly crossed over).

I haven't amplified them yet but the amp I have is 100 watts per channel. I'd be fine sending that much power to the 3.5" as long as they're crossed over properly. Some guys on the Challengerz forum have them crossed over at 250hz and they are fine being amp'd. The 6x9 I'm sure can take more than 100 watts. I'd suggest sound deadening as well. Even off factory deck power the 6x9's made my doors rattle. The bass response is outstanding.

The 6x9's fit perfectly into the front doors of my 2014 RAM 1500. I didn't use brackets. But when I've made adjustments to them before, I've used tin snips for metal and a fine tooth saw for the plastic.

I would use an Exacto Knife to score the plastic if needed and Duckbill Pliers to snap off the unneeded pieces.

I'm not sure. I didn't need the brackets for my Challenger. Other brackets that I've seen could be scored with an X-Acto knife and snapped at the score line.
