Well worth the purchase

Bought this for bedroom TV and it's awesome. Hooks to cable box remote so only need to use one remote. Sound is outstanding and easy hook up. This is so good that I'm buying the same one for the main room TV. Listened to the 900 and Ultra, and to me it's not worth twice the price of the 600.

Worth buying

I bought the Bose Smart Soundbar 600 to replace my receiver that I've had for years and to reduce the "clutter" of wires that is needed to connect the receiver to my surround sound speakers. The speaker sounds great while using my phone to play music. The balance of sound and operation settings are controlled by the app. The speaker cannot play music very loud. It's okay for watching TV but if you wanted to play music and hear it while you're cleaning the house, forget it. Pros: 1. Compact sound system 2. Sound reproduction is easy (with app) 3. Use as speaker for music when not watching TV Cons: 1. The provided HDMI cable creates lag in lip sync. Must use TOSlink cable. 2. There are no controls on the soundbar. Everything is done by the remote or app. 3. There is no USB to listen to music from thumb drive. The main point is would I recommend it to others to buy...? I can! It provided the requirements I needed which was to replace my old receiver and decrease the clutter of wires.

Great Sound Bar

Hooked this up to my LG 42" TV, wonderful sound, like night and day. Had a little trouble hooking it up, until I turned both units off. Got the optical cable to work, hdmi did work...not sure why? But I now have it working through the optical port, and it sounds fantastic. Unbelievable...later I may add rear speakers since the hook up wirelessly.

A Winner

First, set-up was a breeze and the Bose app works well. BT connection was simple and all devices worked great. Used the optical cable provided for TV sound output. Sound is wonderful and spacious. Bass was nice considering the units size. Headspace and presence are outstanding and voices clear. Great product, a winner!

Bose Smart Soundbar 600

The Bose Soundbar 600 was the upgrade we needed for the tv speaker system. We were not looking for deep base as with subwoofers. Just wanted to hear the dialogue easier and this does the trick. Was able to link it the tv so the tv remote turns it on/off and adjusts volume. Simple installation, just power and HDMI to the eARC port. Crutchfield also offered the Bose sale price that other suppliers did not. Given a price match somewhere else, I would still buy the product from Crutchfield!

Bose Smart Soundbar 600

Excellent sound. We are using it as the main speakers on a wide screen, wall mounted TV. It replaced a very old Bose speaker. It took 2 minutes to get it work (plugged the power cord in and the optical plug in). Dislikes: No Instruction Manual. It is on line but eveytime I try to look in my phone, it rings. Need the smart phone to get it to pair with my WI-FI but the phone rings and it screws it up.

Still not sure

I have been using the sound bar for ten days at time of review. I am uncertain if I am keeping it. Setup was extremely difficult for me. You must use your phone & Bose app. I could not get my phone to recognize the soundbar, therefore I could not complete setup. I dug deep into Bose site, and found a process that I could finally do the setup. For me, this was not plug and play. Sound: was less than I expected. The first evening using, my wife asked " is the new speaker on?" It was, and she couldn't tell that it was. After some fine tuning, the bar does make a difference over the TV speakers. I don't think we have watched anything recorded in Atmos yet. As many reviews stated, where this bar shines is with clarity of voice/speaking. It does an excellent job with that, and that is the main reason for my purchase. Music: most reviews stated listening to music was not great. I was pleasantly surprised at quality of music- it does a good job for what it is. It can't compare to a full system. However, I still can't get my cell phone to connect to play music from my Amazon music or Pandora. I must use Bose app, and listen to their limited, ad filled stations. Worth the money? Not for me. I wonder if I should have purchased the basic bar, or another brand.

Bose Smart Soundbar 600

So easy to set up. I was taken back by the well balanced sound. The voice assist let vocals come in clearly while the bass was more than adequate for small and medium size rooms. Having the ability to balance bass, treble and height was a huge to this sound bar.

Bose Soundbar didn't work

I normally like your equipment, but this Bose Soundbar did not work. I was not able to connect it to my TV. I chatted with Bose, and they could not get it to work. After 2 1/2 hours on the chat with 4 different people, they arranged a return for me and e-mailed me a prepaid UPS sticker. This was a 1-week-old item. We'll see if they send me a new product that will hopefully work.

Great soundbar!

We have a 60" LG LED TV and have listened to it fine for a few years now. Finally decided to try a soundbar to enhance the TV's sound, so we researched numerous brands/options. We settled on this Bose 600 soundbar and couldn't be happier. We have the unit setup in our modest sized living room. The soundbar is exceptional - very easy setup and it sounds absolutely great! I initially thought we would need a separate subwoofer, but this soundbar has plenty of deep bass sound. It is truly amazing how the soundbar separates the various components of the audio, to provide a rich, distinct, immersive sound. As an added bonus for us, the soundbar fits perfectly within our TV's stand, inside dimensions. We installed the Bose App on our smart phones, and it easily controls the soundbar and provides advanced control options. After initial setup and minor tweaking, no more fiddling was required from the App. Our LG remote works seamlessly with the Bose soundbar, for basic soundbar commands (On/off, volume, mute, <>, pause, etc.). The Bose remote is not required in our situation. "Crutchfield" shipped the soundbar immediately after ordering. The product arrived in just a few days, was packaged securely, and in everything was in great shape.

Once again an awesome sound comes out of the Bose product. Such a rich deep sound compared to its competition. The balance of highs, lows, mid range and bass. There is just Bose.

Bar is great but no universal remote support

Good overall sound and easy enough to set up. Paired with Bose 500 base. My issue is with the remotes. 600 doesn't currently support a universal remote (according to Bose). So now it's a pain to use multiple remotes to change channels on cable, use tv remote to switch to Apple TV and blu ray. Back to 3 remotes otherwise this is a 5 star bar
