Waterproof & Dustproof Design (IP67): The JBL Clip 5 features an ultra-rugged, rubber housing and is covered with durable waterproof fabric. The JBL Clip 5 carries an IP67 waterproof & dustproof rating to protect it against the harsh outdoor environment. It can even be submerged in water (up to 1m for up to 30 minutes).

• The Clip 5 can only be submerged in water for a short period of time. If the speaker is playing and then submerged in water, it will sound muffled, as anything submerged in water would sound like. Submerging the speaker more than 1 meter and for more than 30 minutes will damage the speaker as the water will penetrate through the waterproof barriers due to pressure.
• To ensure the JBL Clip 5 is waterproof, please remove the USB-C cable and do not charge the Flip 5's battery while it is being exposed to water or other liquids. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in permanent damage to the speaker and power source.

Full-Range Sound with Multi-Speaker Connection: The JBL Clip 5 houses a single 1.75" full-range driver with powered by a built-in 7W amplifier. It has a frequency range of 950Hz to 20kHz and signal-to-noise ratio of 85dB.  Multi-speaker connection by Auracast lets wirelessly pair two Clip 5 speakers for a wider stereo sound stage. For bigger events, multiple JBL Clips 5 speakers and Auracast-enabled JBL speakers can be connected wirelessly for even bigger, louder sound. Stereo and Party mode can be enabled using the JBL Portable App (for Apple iOS or Android OS).

• Stereo Mode: In Stereo Mode, you can use two JBL Clip 5 portable speakers for stereo playback, with one speaker acting as the left channel and the other as the right channel.
• Party Mode: In Party Mode, you can use multiple JBL Clip 5 speaker and Auracast-enabled JBL speakers to create a bigger sound for your party (the same audio source is played back through all JBL speakers).

Bluetooth Audio Streaming: The JBL Clip 5 is equipped with built-in Bluetooth 5.3 featuring support for wireless audio (A2DP 1.4) and control (AVRCP 1.6). You'll be able to stream stored music, music apps, and other audio content from your Bluetooth-enabled source device (such as your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or computer) to the JBL Clip 5.

• Control: You can control Play, Pause, & Skip functions from the speaker. However, you will still continue to use your Bluetooth-enabled device for advanced music navigation and to view song/artist information.
• Pairing: The Clip 5 can pair with multiple devices, but only one device can be active and used at a time. Once paired, the JBL Clip 5 will automatically re-connect with the last paired device when in wireless range (up to 33').

JBL Portable App: Use the JBL Portable App (for Apple iOS or Android OS) to get the most out of the JBL Clip 5 and unlock more features. You'll be able to personalize and control the Clip 5 speaker from the JBL Portable App on your compatible smartphone or tablet device. You can fine-tune the sound with multiple EQ preset options or use a fully customizable EQ to adjust highs, mids, and lows individually. The JBL Portable App is also used to enable Stereo and Party modes. In addition, software updates for the speaker are done through he JBL Portable app.

Rechargeable Battery: The JBL Clip 5 Bluetooth speaker has a built-in lithium-ion polymer rechargeable battery that provides up to 12 hours of playback time. The built-in lithium-ion polymer battery is rated at 5.32Wh (equivalent to 3.8V/1400 mAh).

• Playtime Boost: Simply tap Playtime Boost to prolong the playtime, adding up to 3 hours to your battery life. Playtime Boost tunes and optimizes the speaker's performance for longer playing time.
• USB-C Charging: You can easily recharge the battery using the included USB-C to USB-A cable and a 12-volt/USB or AC/USB power adapter (sold separately). Charging time is approximately 3 hours at 5V/1A.

Integrated Carabiner: The JBL Clip 5 is lightweight, ultra-rugged, and comes with a built-in carabiner letting you hook it easily to whatever clothes you're wearing or backpack you're shouldering.
