Crisp, clear, and powerful

Overall sound quality 5/5 Quality of Speaker/Tweeter 5/5 Quality of Crossover 4/5 Everything about this kit was awesome. Only gripe for me is the quality of the casing for the crossover. The plastic case only pops on, if the base is secured too tightly it warps and no longer holds the "cap" on. This wasn't an issue for me, I installed crossovers in a safe and dry location where the cap isn't needed to protect the internals. Sound quality from these speakers are great. I replaced a Polk audio setup with crossovers that were just old tech. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a great quality upgrade.

Quality Sound & Punchy Bass

Great sound system! Finally got this installed in my 2017 VW Passat w/ Fender Premium Audio. The hardest part was figuring out wiring to connect to these speakers. Worked with Crutchfield for hours on end to finally confirm the wiring plan. Speakers themselves are very loud and clear voice. The crossovers really balance out those frequencies. I love the JL Audio brand. They make quality speakers, amps and subs. This is my first set of door speakers in a car and buying these was a good call! I highly recommend if you are looking for an upgrade from your factory speakers. Just have a solid plan before you start to make your installation easy as can be!

Excellent sound for the money!

These sound phenomenal considering the price, they definitely pack a punch for what they are. However, an aftermarket amp is a must. My factory "high output" amp doesn't get these super loud, plus an amp will make them much clearer. I highly recommend these, but make sure to factor in the cost of an amp, something like the JL audio JD400/4 about an extra $300.

Stock replacement in non bose 2024 sierra HD

I'm giving these a 5 for now. For a China speaker, quality seems good. The tweeters definitely help bring a little more clarity. I used these in the front doors with the c2 650 coaxials in the rear doors as stock replacements to a non Bose system. They are definitely an improvement over stock, the mids are a little less muddy with side by side comparison, but without an amp, I'm unsure if it's worth the cost. I also added deadening to the doors. I do have the new JL 2 3/4" mid tweeters coming for the dash as the stock dash speakers over power and sound too nasally together. I'm hoping that swap helps out. I am though, not convinced that I will be satisfied without adding a quality amp. I'm assuming my next purchase will be a JL VXi amplifier.

Excellent sound compared to previous aftermarket speakers. Good mid range bass for a small speaker and clear miss and treble with separate tweeters. Only minor modifications required to install in factory locations.

Subaru brz drop in upgrade.

You get what you pay for! i wanted an easy upgrade 6" door woofer with good bass for my 2013 Subaru BRZ and after trying several speakers this proved you get what you pay for. Easiest install with the recommended install kit and just the tweeters needed to be spliced in. I haven't used the crossovers yet only running off an Atoto S8 and completely factory wiring/amp. I'm sure once i upgrade all that the speakers will be even better.

High quality as expected with JL

Great, clear sound. High quality materials and high QA as expected with JL. Mounting solutions for flush and surface are included which is fantastic. I used these for the fronts and paired them with the C2-525 coaxials for the rear. Good bass on the woofers as they go down to 60Hz, but depending on your music taste might need a sub for that depth. I mounted the tweeters to the factory locations high on my door (not the first recommendation by JL) so the tweeters were a little loud, but a quick adjustment of the CO and EQ and I got the exact sound I was looking for

Replaced some Infinity Kappas. Sounds better already. Had to turn the Treble down at bit. Tweeter are bright. Overall, very pleased.

DIY Ram 1500 JL AUDIO project

This components live up to the JL AUDIO brand. They're crisp, precise, and definitely meet expectations. I've read multiple reviews prior to buying them and couldn't understand how people said there wasn't good mids from the woofers; it's probably a tuning issue from the user. Mine sound fantastic!

Better options out there for the money

I purchased these speakers because of JL's strong marine line, amplifier lineup, and subwoofers. These speakers, unfortunately, disappointed me in their performance. They are not terrible, but there are so many better options out there for the money. First, the tweeters are too bright for my liking which is something I thought the silk material would reduce. In addition, they are not very clear and crisp like silk tweeter usually are. This setup also lacks midrange. My factory speaker locations do exaggerate these problems so for some these may sound good. I am sure JL's more expensive line sound great but I would not recommend these for the money. FYI I am running a JL 700/5 with a lc7i and I had the tweeter crossovers set on the lowest setting.

This JL package is a fine product. I was looking to upgrade my 17 year old sound system and this did the job. The woofers sound good, the the biggest improvement is the tweeters are much crisper than my stock ones. I appreciated they can be adjusted from the crossover. Stock head unit/amp can drive the speakers fine, but I'm sure a more powerful aftermarket amp would improve the sound, especially the bass response. 4 star rating because installation is kind of a pain. I was able to rig up the tweeters to fit in the stock bracket, and the woofers fit fine in an aftermarket bracket into the existing spot in the doors. But the crossovers are large and it was kind of a struggle to find a place for them. And it's a a bit annoying to have to terminate/crimp all the connections, especially given the price of these speakers, it would be nice if they included some pre-terminated wires. But eh, when you terminate them yourself you can get the lengths just right. Overall it's a solid product if you want an upgrade over old/stock speakers.

Excellent speakers. Very clean, tight bass. A bit flat but that's fine, easier to mix. For the money, they could have included wire for the crossovers. Also the crossovers are quite large. 4.72 in. x 3.36 in. Hard to find a place to put the crossovers or even mount them. Also switch to change tweeter eq on the crossover is a set of pins and a jumper inside the case. A bit cumbersome. Mine sounded best on "ref". Far superior to stock Pontiac G8 paper cone speakers.

Worth the price even on a stock amplifier.

2020 Jeep Wrangler JLR. Great upgrade over stock! Worth the price even on a stock amplifier. These speakers are very clean and clear and the 6.5" woofers add some much needed lows. The tweeters are precise and with no harshness. Only minor con is the crossovers are quite large.Required some creativity to find a place for them. Cross shopped against Focal, Infinity, and Polk. The audio comparison tool ultimately made the decision for me and I can say it is actually fairly close to representative of what I get once installed. Also shout out to Gage at tech support for help figuring out the optimal configuration! Huge help!

One of the best speakers for my Honda CRV!

I installed these into my 2006 Honda CRV EX. They are perfect speakers for this car and the difference between the olde, paper-cone OEM speakers and these like Earth and Sky... but now I have to replace the rear ones as well since at louder music, I can really hear the old ones screaming and vibrating like an old fly stucked into a flycatcher patch. You have to work for it though. First of all the JL tweezers are even though very small, they will not fit into the factory location. I carefully drilled a hole into that grill and placed the holder tube that came with the tweezer. Be careful not to brake, nor scratch the grill when creating place for the holder. The wiring was easy, since I put both crossovers in the middle, under the dash behind the hifi unit and wired the tweezers directly to the crossovers. For the large speakers I used the Scosche SAH6 mounting brakets and some Dynamax plate under to eliminate vibration, drilled 3 holes in the body and used fix the brackets. I also added XTC Buffles, but I found that I have to completely cut the rear end of the Buffles (as you see on the photo), otherwise they will hit the window when it is down plus it make unnecessary vibration, the sponge will smear against the car parts. I also had to curve off some plastic off the doors interior, around the speaker grill as you see on my other photo so you can put the doorpanel back when finished. It is a 6 inches speaker so larger than the original one, but the larger is better ;

I got these to replace aftermarket speakers (JBL )that I had previously installed. At first I was worried there wouldn't be much of a difference in quality, but boy was I wrong. These sound phenomenal: very crisp and clear. JL is the way to go.

I replaced the OEM speakers in my 2016 VW Tiguan with these and even paired with the standard stock receiver/CD player, this speaker upgrade makes an impressive difference. I was squeamish about taking my rear doors apart and I ended up calling Crutchfield's support line 3 times - their service was great and they walked me through all the steps. I am so happy to have made this purchase! My only disappointment was that the new speakers did not come with any wire and the supply of wire connectors was only enough to hook up the speaker and tweeter in one door.

Superb definition clarity with full Bass & Crystal highs

This component system was enhanced with C2 Series 3-1/2 » 2-way car speakers, with a set of 600 Hz Crutchfield base blockers I must say the definition base tweeter this soundstage seems to come perfectly in line and I'm using a Poor quality amp but Quality of the speakers makes up for the lack of amplifier definition, in the next two weeks my amp Will be upgraded to the JL audio Vxi amps, cannot wait to hear the improvement of an already super product paired with their amplifier
