Water, Dust, & Shock Proof: The Ecoxgear EcoExtreme 2 is built tough with an IP67-rating. It is water, dust, and shock proof - it even floats. The IP67-rating means that the speaker is fully protected from any dust ingress and immersion in water up to 1 meter (3') for up to 30 minutes. Feel confident taking it with you to the pool, playground, campground, or other outdoor adventure. A caribiner clip is also included to secure to your backpack or belt-loop.

• The EcoExtreme 2 can only be submerged in water for a short period of time. If the speaker is playing and then submerged in water, it will sound muffled, as anything submerged in water would sound like. Submerging the speaker more than 1 meter and for more than 30 minutes will damage the speaker as the water will penetrate through the waterproof barriers due to pressure.
• To ensure the EcoExtreme 2 is waterproof, the integrated storage compartment must be closed and the USB-C cable must not be connected. Do not charge the unit's battery while it is being exposed to water or other liquids. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in permanent damage to the speaker and power source.

15W Max Speaker with EcoCast: The EcoExtreme 2 houses a single 2.0" cone driver powered by a built-in 15 watt (Peak) amplifier for a frequency response of 125Hz to 18,000Hz. For even bigger sound, you can wirelessly link multiple EcoExtreme 2 speakers and/or other EcoCast compatible speakers together via Bluetooth. EcoCast supports up to a total of 100 speakers with a wireless range of 30' between the main casting speaker and the other receiving speakers. The same Bluetooth audio source will be played on each speaker (the unit's Aux input cannot be utilized for EcoCast).

Built-In Bluetooth 5.0: The EcoExtreme 2 features built-in Bluetooth 5.0 with support for wireless audio streaming (A2DP) and control (AVRCP), as well as hands-free communication (HFP) with a built-in microphone. You can pair multiple devices to the EcoExtreme 2 using SSP (Secure Simple Pairing), but only one source device can be connected at a time for playback and use. The speaker will remember the last device paired and automatically search for previous connections when the speaker is turned on or when a device comes back into Bluetooth range. The EcoExtreme 2 has a wireless Bluetooth range of approximately 100'.

• Wireless Audio Streaming: You'll be able to wirelessly stream stored music, music apps, and other audio content from your Bluetooth enabled device (such as your smartphone, tablet, or laptop) to the EcoExtreme 2 speaker. You'll also be able to opera basic playback functions (such as Volume, Play/Pause, & Previous Next/Track) from the front-panel controls on EcoExtreme 2. Advanced music browsing and song/artist/album info will still need to be done from your Bluetooth source device.
• Hands-Free Communication: The EcoExtreme 2 is equipped with a built-in microphone, letting you use the the EcoExtreme 2 as a speakerphone and giving you access to the digital voice assistants (Siri or Google) on your Apple iPhone or Android smartphone. Simply press the "mic" button on the speaker to activate the digital voice assistant on your connected Bluetooth smartphone and speak into the built-in microphone. The speakerphone function can be used to make phone calls or ask for weather, news, and other information.

Zello Walkie-Talkie App: The Zello Walkie-Talkie app (for Apple iOS 13.0+ and Android OS 6.0+) turns your compatible smartphone and the EcoExtreme2 into a walkie talkie that works anywhere in the world as long as you are connected to the internet. Zello's push-to-talk walkie-talkie app lives on your phone, delivering unlimited and secure private channels and crystal clear broadcasts over cell networks and WiFi. Once you have downloaded the Zello Walkie-Talkie app on your compatible phone and connected your phone to the EcoExtreme 2 via Bluetooth, you can activate the Walkie-Talkie feature by pressing the "Z" button on the front of the speaker.

Controls & Indicators: Front-panel push-button controls include Power On/Off, Volume Up/Down, Play/Pause, Previous/Next Track, Speakerphone Mic, Bluetooth Pairing, and Walkie-Talkie. There is also a Master Power switch on the inside of the integrated storage compartment, which must be set to On for the EcoExtreme 2 to turn on. In addition, there are 4 LED battery level indicators located on the front-panel. Each LED represents 25% of a charge. Four full LEDs indicate a full charge.

Storage Compartment: The EcoExtreme 2 portable Bluetooth speaker features an integrated storage compartment with 30 cubic inches of space for your smartphone, keys, or other small personal items. An elastic strap and mesh pouch help to secure your things inside the compartment. The storage compartment measure approximately 3.75" (w) x x 8.25" (h) x 1.0" (d).

Rechargeable Battery: The EcoExtreme 2 portable Bluetooth speaker is powered by a built-in lithium rechargeable battery (3.7V/2600mAh) that can provide up to 15 hours of playback time at 75% volume level. The speaker features an interior mounted 5V/1A USB-C port (inside the storage compartment) and comes with a 40" USB-C to USB-A cable to aid in charging the built-in battery. The battery can be recharged from a 3rd party USB/AC power adapter (sold separately) or a free USB port on your computer. It takes approximately 3 hours to full charge the battery.
