A Vendor's Guide to Crutchfield
Food and Prizes
We do not generally expect or request any giveaways or food associated with training. If you wish to offer something, please discuss it with us in advance. We encourage you to consider focusing your budget toward a discount-purchase offer, also known as an employee accommodation offer, instead of spending your money on lunch or prizes. We've found this is the best way to build excitement among our staff and make sure that the people who are most interested in your product/service have an opportunity to experience it.
Can we provide lunch? How do we do it?
- We need at least a week's notice to make arrangements for lunch.
- We like to offer our employees healthy food options such as vegetables and lean meats. We also have a few vegetarians and diabetics who have special dietary needs who are appreciative when they are remembered.
- If you wish to make arrangements on your own we prefer to have the food delivered in two "rounds":
- Round one at around noon with about half of the entire day's order.
- Round two at around 6 p.m. with the other half of the food.
- Just let us know your budget and/or choice of cuisine and we can do the rest.
- Have a credit card available for payment on the day of training. Also let us know if you need to pay with American Express since some caterers do not accept that form of payment.
- Training attendance varies:
- Headquarters near Charlottesville — approximately 100 attendees
- SWVA near Norton — approximately 75 attendees
- Catered meals cost an average of $1,700 or about $11 per attendee (both contact centers combined).
Call or e-mail your Crutchfield Training contact for more details.
What about giveaways?
- If your prize costs $500 or more (retail), we prefer to do a company-wide drawing rather than limit the eligible names to training attendees.
- All giveaways should be completed—including the delivery of the prizes to the winners—on the day of training or the following day. We have found that prizes delivered later don't have the same impact and can be troublesome logistically.
- Prizes you desire to offer such as products, or other "premium" gifts, should be discussed with your Crutchfield Training contact at least two business days in advance of your scheduled event.
- Prize drawings will not be done until the prizes are available to be awarded to the winners.
- To be eligible for most prize drawings we require employees to attend the event AND submit a feedback form. Also, we do not allow repeat winners over a given period of time.
- We prefer to perform the prize drawings so that we can confirm eligibility prior to the drawing.
- See the attendance page for attendance estimates
