Video: Mathilda's Rockford Fosgate P2 Subwoofer

A few weeks ago, we installed new speakers and an amp in Mathilda's car. Once she got used to how great the upgrade sounded, we came back to add a subwoofer. We installed a Rockford Fosgate P2 sub and then asked Mathilda to share her thoughts on the added bass. We think she likes it.

I don't know about you, but I'm the kind of person that definitely likes to feel the music as much as hear the music. And with most of the car stereos that I've had before, I tend to max out the bass so that I get that good, rich sound. With this subwoofer though, I don't necessarily have to crank it all the way up.

And with the kind of music that I like to listen to, being world beat and alternative electronica, I don't have to max out the bass levels in order to get that nice, deep, rich tone. So I would definitely recommend one of these subwoofers. If you have questions about subwoofers or how it might improve your sound experience, give us a call.

Wade, this is a dual 2-ohm voice coil sub, but Rockford Fosgate allows you to wire the sub for 1-ohm impedance to get maximum power output, or for 4-ohm impedance if you're using multiple subs. The P2D2-10 sub works equally well in a sealed or ported enclosure, so you can choose the kind of bass you want for your system. To drive this single subwoofer, we recommend a mono amplifier rated between 225 and 450 watts RMS at 4 ohms. For more specs, check out the P2D2-10 product page.

couldn't hear the sub as an example & was not clear on the amp vs subs capacity.
