W
hen Meir Mordechai founded Morel in 1975, he wanted to capture the magic of music in the most natural way. Since then, Morel’s earned a reputation for premium performance via extensive testing, innovative technologies, and hand-assembled products. Here are a few reasons we’ve loved our 10-year partnership with them.
The brand name Morel comes from “Mordechai Electro-acoustics,” in tribute to their founder’s commitment to high-fidelity audio.
Natural, live sound for discerning listeners
Decades of success
When Morel started making home speakers in 1975, the car audio market was just getting off the ground. The goal was to make speakers that delivered the emotional resonance of the live experience, which they later replicated for car and portable products. Over the last 50 years, they’ve maintained their dedication to doing things no other company can do.
Beyond innovative
One of Morel's key advancements is the External Voice Coil™ (EVC) motor structure for subs and speakers, which enables super-high power handling without a deep chassis. The result is deep, musical bass from surprisingly thin profiles.
Powerful amps
Morel continues their relentless pursuit of great sound by introducing digital signal processing (DSP) into its amplifier lineup. Here you see how detailed you can get with the EQ software. For drivers who are never quite satisfied with yesterday's solutions, these amps deliver unmatched flexibility and performance.
Morel's newest amps with DSP software let you get super-detailed with your tuning preferences.
Proud partnership
It takes dedication to make it 50 years in this business. We've tried to do right by our customers over the years, and Morel has done the same. We're excited to share their breakthroughs in the future.
Three outstanding examples of Morel's innovation

Sublime speakers — the Morel Virtus Nano Carbon Integra 62
These thin (11/16" deep) Morel Virtus Nano Carbon Integra 62 6-1/2" 2-way speakers might seem like just pretty faces, but they handle 100 watts RMS. Crutchfield employees are often wowed by how accurate their silk dome tweeters are, and the deep bass they thump out.

Super-thin subwoofer
Morel’s revolutionary External Voice Coil feature lets this Ultimo PowerSlim PS104D 10" sub handle 700 watts RMS with a mounting depth that’s barely over 3 inches. Advanced design and materials mean your car’s tough-to-fit spots can be useful for low end that you’ll hear and feel.
